Cameron Hayward, DC, CSCS, DACBSP®
Dr. Cameron Hayward is a graduate of Independence High School (2010). He earned his bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology from the University of Iowa before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic at Palmer College in 2016. Following graduation, he spent six years at Vanderloo Chiropractic in Waterloo, gaining extensive clinical experience.
In 2022, Dr. Hayward earned diplomate status with the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians—an advanced certification held by only about 400 chiropractors nationwide and just ten in Iowa. To achieve this distinction, he completed over 300 hours of postgraduate education, 250 hours of clinical training in sports settings, and a rigorous series of examinations. This advanced training equips him to diagnose, manage, and treat athletic injuries at the highest level. He applies these skills in his work as team chiropractor for the Waterloo Black Hawks hockey team and the Independence Mustang football program.
Dr. Hayward lives in Independence with his wife, Briana, and their two sons, Emmerson and Elliot. Outside the clinic, he enjoys exercising, reading, walking his dog Winston, and spending time with family and friends.
